Our Mission
International Language House (ILH) was founded on the belief that Japan can and will thrive by strengthening its ability to communicate with the world — especially using English.
To achieve this goal, we set out to offer a higher standard of education than what we saw around us — one led by passionate, talented educators from around the globe who teach English in fun and engaging ways.
Whether at one of our ILH-owned schools, licensed bilingual nurseries, or at one of the 150+ locations throughout the Kanagawa/Tokyo area that we've partnered with through our Dispatch and Introduction programs, we’ve spent over 10 years connecting skilled English teachers from different countries around the world with aspiring learners.
From young children to adults, we’re committed to supporting lifelong language learning and helping people build the confidence to connect across cultures.
Our Services
Private ILH Preschools
Our bilingual education preschool programs aim to equip students with essential language skills, cultural understanding, cognitive development, and social and emotional skills.
Our goal is to prepare them from an early age for a globalized world and fostering a love for learning in different languages.

Public Nurseries
ILH operates two bilingual nurseries in the Kawasaki area that are licensed by the Japanese City government. We introduce English to children through daily interactions with foreign staff while maintaining high standards of childcare quality required by the city.

Afterschool
Programs
Our Afterschool programs offer fun and dynamic opportunities for elementary school students to learn English through active indoor and outdoor activities, music classes, programming classes, and interactions with a wide cast of fun foreign teachers who are experienced with teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) students.
In addition to providing English teachers and afterschool lessons to several partner locations, we manage our own program at our main office for the children in and around Kawasaki!
Community School
Learning doesn't end after childhood! At ILH, lifelong learning and building community through English-based programs are two foundational pillars of our mission "Connecting Japan to the World. ILH Dispatch
Program
Since 2013, our Dispatch division has connected nearly 200 schools across the Kanto region in Japan with ILH-trained English teachers from over 15 countries. We partner with local nursery schools to provide fun, culturally rich English lessons that introduce children to language and the wider world.
ILH Original Content
The original songs used in ILH's original English programs are now available on music distribution sites! You can play everyone's favorite songs at home, in the car or wherever you listen to music!
